AI Disclosure
Dewy uses AI models to identify plants, interpret symptoms from photos, and generate care guidance. This page explains what that means in practice and where the limits are.
Diagnoses are model-generated
When you run a Smart Scan, your photo and notes are sent to an AI provider. The model returns a likely species, a confidence score, a summary of what it sees, and a healing roadmap. Dewy reconciles species names against a curated knowledge base when possible, but the recommendations themselves are produced by the model.
Models can be wrong
Vision models misidentify species, miss subtle disease signs, and occasionally produce confident but incorrect advice. Treat every diagnosis as a knowledgeable starting point, not a guarantee. When confidence is low we will switch to Questionnaire Mode and ask follow-up questions.
Not professional advice
Dewy is not a substitute for a horticulturist, agronomist, or veterinarian. In particular, pet toxicity information should always be confirmed with a veterinarian before trusting it for an animal's safety.
What we record
Each diagnosis is saved with the rendered output and the underlying request and response with the AI provider. This lets us trace what was actually shown to you on a given date and improve the system. API keys and personal identifiers are stripped before storage. You can export or delete this data from your profile.
